two Jello “Salads”

In the potluck episode of FOOD FRIENDS, Sonya and I discuss the “salads” that my family often serves at large gatherings like Thanksgiving. Unless you’re from the Midwest, these two recipes may be unusual for many of our listeners. My family refers to them as “salads,” but you may be tempted to stick these dishes in the dessert category due to their sweet nature. I truly love both of these recipes, and hope you’ll give them a try. The orange tapioca salad is my personal favorite, although I do love the pistachio one as well.

Thanks to my mama, Christie Lauritzen, for sharing her hand-written recipes with me.
